We Are ALPOLIC: Meet Renee Mullins

If marketing is about telling a brand story and customer service is about delivering support, then in this new role of Director of Brand & Customer Experience, Renee Mullins has been charged with unifying the customer journey so that the message
and experience can align.

“It’s about delivering on a promise of excellence that has defined ALPOLIC in the Americas for 35 years,” says Renee. “This new chapter positions me to support a seamless connection between our brand promise and every customer interaction.”

Joining the ALPOLIC team as Marketing Manager in 2016, Renee brings decades of experience in communications, publicity, and branding. A graduate of Morehead State University with a BA in Journalism, Advertising & PR and an MBA in Marketing from Saint Leo University, she has led multi-national, multi-million-dollar accounts to success for a wide variety of businesses.

With a philosophy rooted in teamwork and trust, Renee looks forward to building an environment where her diverse team can thrive. "I believe great brands are built by great people and great relationships. My goal is to empower my teams, champion our customers, and create experiences that inspire loyalty and long-term success."

Approachable and collaborative, Renee has a reputation for seeing the big picture without losing sight of the individual needs of both her team and her audience. She appreciates that no two days at work ever feel the same and that people take advantage of her open-door policy to share what’s on their mind.

“I’m grateful to have found a place at ALPOLIC and truly enjoy the people here,” she said. “I love the diversity and camaraderie."

Originally from Hindman, KY, Renee has moved 22 times and has lived in five states, in addition to the Republic of Panama. Although happily settled in Hampton Roads for the past 20 years, she still loves to travel with her husband, Patrick, a 30-year Navy veteran.

Community-minded, Renee supports various local and national charity organizations including the Wounded Warrior Project, Navy SEAL Foundation, and the Chesapeake Humane Society, where she served on the board of directors. Her work with the Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue and Portsmouth Humane Society (PHS) is particularly close to her heart, as she recently adopted her latest rescue from PHS, a deaf pit mix puppy named Bogey who joins her other dogs, Golden Retrievers Izzy and Birdie. “What can I say? I thrive on chaos!”

Fuelled by coffee and a love of music, movies, and cooking, she embraces her artistic side both at work and at home. As the mother of two college-age sons, Connor and Grant, she’s taking advantage of her free time by bringing her unique design eye to many renovation projects in what she describes as her dream home “down by the river.”

“I’ve always been motivated by creativity and people. I like solving problems, being strategic, and I want to build success through thoughtful choices and connection.”
