Mechanical/Reliability Engineer

The Mechanical / Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving the reliability, performance, and lifecycle of manufacturing equipment across ALPOLIC’s production operations. This role focuses on root cause analysis, preventive and predictive maintenance strategy, and capital project execution to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical expertise in industrial systems, a data-driven approach to problem solving, and the ability to collaborate across Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to drive sustainable improvements in equipment performance and uptime.

Reliability Engineering & Analysis

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment and process failures using structured problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) and define engineering-driven corrective actions
  • Analyze equipment performance data and failure trends to identify systemic reliability issues and recommend solutions
  • Develop and implement engineering improvements to enhance equipment reliability, performance, and lifecycle
  • Partner with Maintenance and Production teams to validate failure modes and ensure sustainable solutions are implemented

Equipment & Process Support

  • Provide engineering support for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues across production systems including conveyors, ovens, pumps, and continuous process equipment
  • Identify and implement design improvements or modifications to existing equipment to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Design and develop mechanical components, guards, and equipment modifications using CAD tools (AutoCAD / Inventor)
  • Create detailed fabrication drawings and specifications for internal use or external vendors
  • Coordinate with vendors and fabrication shops to ensure designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturability requirements
  • Support installation and validation of fabricated components to ensure proper fit, function, and performance

Capital Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Support and/or lead capital improvement projects, including scope definition, equipment specification, installation support, and commissioning
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, improving throughput, and enhancing process stability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement equipment and process enhancements

Compliance, Safety & Documentation

  • Ensure all engineering solutions comply with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including equipment specifications, engineering standards, and modification records
  • Support development and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to equipment and process performance

Work Schedule Expectations

  • This position requires occasional on-call support to assist in troubleshooting critical equipment or process issues outside of normal working hours
  • Participation in a rotational weekend coverage schedule is required to support plant operations and reliability needs
  • Flexibility to respond to urgent plant issues as needed, in coordination with Maintenance and Operations leadership

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience supporting continuous process operations (coating lines, laminating, metals processing, or similar preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • Equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis
    • Equipment reliability and performance improvement
    • Capital project execution

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Mechanical systems (rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveying systems)
    • Manufacturing equipment and process systems
    • Experience using data and engineering analysis to drive reliability improvements
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting required) and Autodesk Inventor (3D modeling preferred)

  • Ability to create:
    • Fabrication drawings
    • Equipment modifications and assemblies
    • Safety guarding and components

  • Working knowledge of:
    • Design for manufacturability (DFM)
    • Materials, tolerances, and fabrication processes (welding, machining, sheet metal)
    • Ability to interpret vendor drawings and ensure compliance with plant requirements
    • Familiarity with reliability engineering principles and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher preferred)
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, etc.)
  • Project management experience supporting equipment installations or upgrades


The salary range for this position is $85,696-$107,120. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. Customer Service Representative

Job Description:

The Customer Service Representative engages with customers to provide product information, ensure customer satisfaction, and resolve customer conflicts. The CSR works closely with all departments from outside Sales teams, production, and shipping to ensure a next level customer experience.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create solid customer relationships and satisfaction through effective and timely resolution of a variety of customer issues.
  • Receive phone calls and handle questions and inquiries with speed and professionalism.
  • Escalate issues to appropriate department or personnel as needed.
  • Interact with customers to provide timely and accurate information about products, order status, inventory, shipping, and production.
  • Receive, process, and verify the accuracy of orders by entering data into SAP system Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction and report them to management.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to support customer needs and meet and exceed customer service expectations Provide support and planning for sales functions.
  • Respond timely and accurately to inquiries of price, availability, stock replenishment, order fulfillment, etc. during initial call/emails. Quote system pricing or use limited pricing guidelines provided by management. Engage Tech Service, Operations, and Logistics if/when the inquiries warrant.
  • Reporting and data collection

Education:

Manager, Sales - HISHITANK

The Manager, Sales – HISHITANK is responsible for independently owning, developing, and growing U.S. and Canada sales operations for HISHITANK Aboveground Thermosetting Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic Panel-Type Tanks for Water Storage. This role serves as the primary commercial presence for the Americas and requires a highly autonomous, commercially driven sales professional capable of managing the full sales cycle without a local commercial support team, distributor management staff, or regional sales infrastructure.

The Manager, Sales – HISHITANK partners closely with the Tokyo headquarters team to align regional sales execution with global business objectives, KPIs, pricing strategy, and market priorities. Success in this role requires strong self-direction, disciplined pipeline management, technical sales capability, distributor development experience, and the ability to build trusted relationships across engineering, municipal, construction, distributor, and customer stakeholder groups.

Sales Strategy & Territory Ownership

Independently own and grow the HISHITANK sales territory across the United States, Canada, and their territories.
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies in close coordination with the Tokyo office.
Translate global KPIs and business objectives into actionable regional sales plans.
Exercise independent judgment on prioritization, pricing, account strategy, and customer engagement as the sole commercial decision-maker on the ground in the Americas.
Distributor, Representative & Account Development

Build, manage, and expand the distributor and direct-representative network for HISHITANK across the assigned territory.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by understanding customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
Proactively expand distributor coverage and strengthen existing customer and channel relationships.
Build trusted, consultative relationships with key stakeholders, including engineers, municipalities, distributors, and other decision-makers
Sales Cycle Management & Commercial Execution

Own every stage of the sales process, from lead generation through close.
Proactively escalate risks and propose solutions to the Tokyo-based leadership team.
Maintain disciplined CRM records, accurate pipeline tracking, and timely sales reporting without prompting or direct oversight.
Deliver technical seminars and product education across the territory to build market credibility, customer awareness, and demand.
Performance, Budget & Revenue Accountability

Manage sales performance, budget activity, ROI tracking, and territory-level commercial results.
Carry a minimum annual direct sales impact expectation of US$2MM.
Balance growth objectives with profitability and make sound commercial decisions that support long-term business success.
Industry Presence, Product Education & Market Representation

Represent HISHITANK and the company at national and regional trade shows, client seminars, and industry events.
Participate in relevant industry events, including AWWA, NFPA, ASPE, Greenbuild, Design Build Associations, and other water-related product exhibitions.
Present technical and commercial information clearly and confidently to customers, distributors, engineers, municipalities, and large groups.
Global Collaboration & Independent Leadership

Coordinate regularly with Japan-based leadership across time zones.
Operate with sound judgment, organizational discipline, and follow-through in a highly autonomous environment.
Serve as the primary regional commercial resource for HISHITANK in the Americas.

Travel & Work Requirements

Travel frequently across North America, 75% to 80%, to support customers, distributors, trade shows, seminars, and market development activities.
Periodic international travel may be required.

Experience working with Japanese organizations and business culture strongly preferred.
Knowledge

Strong knowledge of technical, industrial, engineering, or B2B sales processes.
Knowledge of construction project management and engineering practices is highly preferred.
Understanding of distributor network development, territory management, pipeline management, and technical product education.
CAD or mechanical/civil engineering design drawing review experience preferred but not required.
Professional engineering license is a plus but not required.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $110,200 - $137,800.
