Technician, Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician tests raw materials and finished good panels produced at our manufacturing facility located in Chesapeake, VA. Technicians ensure that materials comply with product specifications as established both by suppliers and customers.

  • Data Reports, ISO records, and other quality-related activities are communicated daily regarding quality performance. Technicians work with multiple departments within the company and must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Maintain and enhance the quality of raw materials and finished goods
  • Implement the quality standards set by the company and ISO requirements
  • File and report data daily via email or company databases and forms
  • Work closely with multiple departments and effectively communicate procedures, activities, and data
  • Identify and communicate nonconforming procedures and materials efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems promptly as to not affect production
  • Educate new operators or technicians regarding quality related procedures
  • Follow and ensure strict compliance to all procedures
  • Forklift license may be required for position and will be issued by Mitsubishi
  • Other duties as assigned by department supervisor or manager

Coil Coating Line Operator - Day Shift

The ALPOLIC Division of Mitsubishi Chemical America is seeking a dedicated Coil Coating Line Operator to join our day‑shift manufacturing team. This full‑time position enjoys a consistent four‑day workweek, working 12‑hour schedule Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM to 6:15 PM. This schedule offers long weekends every week, predictable hours, and the ability to plan your life outside of work with confidence.

The starting pay for this position is $18.00 per hour, with open progression opportunities through our Pay‑for‑Skills program as additional competencies are achieved. An additional $0.36 per hour is paid for day shift differential. This role is also eligible to participate in our annual profit‑sharing bonus program, offering further earning potential as part of our commitment to rewarding team performance and company success.

The Coil Coating Line Operator facilitates the completion of work plans as created by the Scheduler, Plant Manager, Manager, or department supervisors. The operator also ensures proper materials are used to meet quality standards, monitors and operate processes as assigned, and monitors and processes control equipment.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment
  • Keep work area clean
  • Adhere to safety and environmental rules
  • Document the use of materials and time required in the production of materials and products
  • Control and operate equipment safely
  • Maintain quality standards by inspection of materials, control of processes, and continuous sampling and testing of both product and process
  • Use scientific rules and methods to solve problems
  • Provide value to our customers through effective operations of assigned work area and support to the facility
  • Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure machinery is working properly
  • Replenish inventory as needed
  • Support supervisors and team in training and cross-training efforts
  • Position requires use of an air purifying respirator
  • Must be able to maintain Forklift license as issued by Mitsubishi

The SRW Operator is responsible for warehouse operations activities including shipping and receiving, deliveries, coordinating stock, documenting warehouse transactions, maintaining records, and overseeing the storage of surplus inventory and property. The SRW operator is also responsible for packaging finished goods from the production line and packing finished goods orders for customer shipment.
