We Are ALPOLIC: Get To Know Rigo Vega
Architectural sales manager Rigo Vega loves his job. More than just getting ALPOLIC on specs, he’s excited to follow projects all the way through to completion and build relationships along the way, both with his customers and within the company.
“I feel at home with ALPOLIC and that’s thanks to the people and values here.” Pairing ALPOLIC’s reputation for quality and his natural drive and determination, Rigo has reinvigorated MCM use in the Golden State.
Rigo feels his expertise is in servicing his accounts. Too often he finds clients who’ve experienced sales managers who over-promise and under-deliver.
“I like to say I was trained ‘the ALPOLIC way’. We’re a transparent company,” he explains, emphasizing that getting back to his customers in a timely fashion is a key hallmark to building lasting professional relationships. “I’m a consultant for the architect and a problem solver for the fabricator.”
Celebrating his fifth year with ALPOLIC, Rigo is proud of the work he’s done in Southern California. Over his tenure, he has almost doubled the sales in the area and has recently earned an expansion on his responsibilities to include Nevada and Mexico. “My goal is to learn about the local trends and the needs of these markets. To grow those two regions and tackle them like I have Southern California.”
Rigo visits his extended family in Mexicali several times a year so expanding his region into his second home of Mexico was a natural choice. Raised bilingual, he notes that reading in English and conversing in Spanish is most natural for him. However, should he ever need to use it, he also studied French while getting his degree in international business from San Diego State University.
Although he enjoys traveling nonstop, he still thinks there’s no place like home. He’s enjoying the beauty of southern California with his 11-year-old German Shepherd Archi. “I am blessed to live in San Diego and love spending time outside whether it is hiking, hitting the beach for a quick surf, or barbequing with the family.”
