ALPOLIC Products Contribute to Efficient Design for Corporate Headquarters

Guy Brown and Guy Brown Investments (GBI) provide an extensive inventory of business solutions to some of the largest brands in the United States. Guy Brown offers services to improve business efficiency and promotion, and GBI is a leader in commercial furniture for offices, healthcare and education. Both arms of the company facilitate the needs of businesses through quality service and creative vision.

Because their products are designed to optimize employee productivity and comfort, their main offices in Brentwood, Tennessee needed to provide the same environment for their staff. The new Guy Brown building, completed in June 2017, features 20,300 square feet of climate-controlled workspace over two floors, and 10,000 square feet of ground-floor, covered parking. It serves not only as their corporate headquarters but also accommodates a working showroom for GBI office furniture products.

Guy Brown’s owners worked closely with the architects on the overall design. For the metal component of the building’s envelope, they chose ALPOLIC MCM.

“We wanted the exterior of the building to be comprised of 3 base materials -- glass, brick and metal,” said Jay Chawan, CFO. “The ALPOLIC panels provided the metal look we were striving for and married extremely well with the glass and brick components of the building.”

Chawan said the sleek and clean appearance of ALPOLIC®/fr in LBM Limestone Matte and SMX Silver Metallic finishes best aligned with their company brand. ALPOLIC MCM is featured on the main entrance to the building and throughout the exterior, even covering one wall of glass in a series of angled slats. This design, while providing a striking and awe-inspiring visual for passersby, gives depth to the overall look of the building and helps shade offices on the western side from the afternoon sun.
