Adaptable ALPOLIC MCM Bridges Chicago's Past to Present
Chicago’s old meatpacking district, Fulton Market, is an up-and-coming neighborhood in high demand due to recent investments by the largest tech companies and public transportation improvements. Luxury high-rise residences within walking distance of upscale shopping and dining are in demand, challenging contractors to meet tight deadlines.

The Dylan began construction in March 2022 and welcomed its first tenants in early 2024. Designed by bKL Architecture, this 30-story mixed-use building towers over Fulton Market and captures the essence of vibrant urban living. The lower floors emulate the Windy City’s vintage warehouse style with an elegant brick facade, supporting the modern tower of expansive glass windows. A fifth-floor outdoor terrace with a bold muraled ceiling sits on the southern side of the tower, supported by Y-shaped columns that stretch up the length of the building.
Where the typical ground-up build to occupancy timeline can take up to three years, demand for these residences inspired a viable solution to complete the project within a shorter window of time. The design team behind The Dylan found the right products with the right timeline in ALPOLIC MCM.
Timeless Design, Tight Deadlines
Diamond Dealer Peerless Products fabricated and assembled an all-inclusive wall assembly using their proprietary Talon Wall system. With the framing, glass, MCM, AWB, and insulation encompassed off-site, the modular units allowed for a smaller crew to install them on-site with maximum efficiency. Compared to a traditional system, the Talon Wall uses one-third the size and 1.5 total man hours per unit. Upon delivery to North Morgan Street, the Peerless crew set each unit into its designated spot on the project, like pieces of a 3-D puzzle.
