We Are ALPOLIC: Get to Know Scott Yarnell

For Scott Yarnell, the Mountain Region’s newest architectural sales manager, joining the ALPOLIC team felt like the natural next step in a career built from the ground up. With a background spanning fabrication, installation, and project management, he brings a rare, hands-on perspective to his territory. Supporting states previously led by Steve Tatro and Chad Patterson, Scott knows he has big shoes to fill. “It is about maintaining the relationships they’ve built and stepping up to grow a territory I already love.”

Born in Edison, New Jersey, Scott worked in construction through high school and college. He graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Environmental and Business Economics before heading west for what was supposed to be a six-month sabbatical as a ski instructor in Colorado. The landscape won him over, however, and he put down roots. He built a career across residential construction, custom fabrication, and commercial project management, always staying connected to on-site teams.

Scott has always been the person who connects project management theory and practical application best practices. It’s a unique 360-degree view. “I literally know the product and the system from the inside out, and I understand what it’s like to be in our customers' shoes.” Whether he is reviewing details with an architect or talking CNC tooling with a fabricator, he sees the entire project. He can speak to the engineer, the scheduler, the installer, the owner, and jokes, “I can even speak forklift.”

“I want to be the best part of someone’s day,” he says. “Over my career, I’ve developed these really good relationships, where I was the problem solver.” Scott wants his customers to feel confident in their projects with his support and ALPOLIC Materials. “It’s just nice to work for ALPOLIC, which I’ve always known to be a premium product. I can put my name behind something that I believe in.”

When he’s not on the road, Scott is at home in the Colorado mountains with his wife and their new puppy. A former Eagle Scout and lifelong outdoorsman, he spends his time skiing, snowmobiling, mountain biking, camping, fishing, and working on woodworking and welding projects. He even built the desk he works at today. Looking ahead, Scott is eager to deepen relationships across the Mountain Region and to continue bringing his practical, solution-driven approach to every project. “ALPOLIC offers more than a price sheet.
