ALPOLIC launches in Japan
ALPOLIC, a brand of Mitsubishi Chemical, began pilot production in Japan in 1971. Full-scale production would begin in three years.
Since its debut, ALPOLIC has stood as a global market leader with over 50 years of experience in the development and manufacture of metal composite panels for sophisticated building architecture, standing for the safety of innovative, high-quality products and perfect service.
Graphic AL is introduced
GRAPHIC-AL (known as AL-Leader in Japan) aluminum composite materials are lightweight panels with thinner aluminum skins designed for printed displays, architectural signs, canopies and other metal signage applications.
ALPOLIC is introduced to the American market
MCC begins to export ALPOLIC materials to the U.S., housing the imported material in a New Jersey warehouse.
Groundbreaking on a New Plant
MCC breaks ground on its first Greenfield propriety in the US. Known as KASEI then, it would become home to the only U.S. manufacturing facility for ALPOLIC.
Mitsubishi Chemical America Starts Producing ALPOLIC
Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Chesapeake, Virginia opens and begins production of 3mm/4mm/6mm MCM panels. The dedication ceremony for the plant is held on October 18, 1991.
New MCM Thickness Introduced
The first order of 4mm MCM panels are produced and shipped. Testing on 6mm MCM panels began this same year.
