Brazilian Hotel Features Timber and Stone Exterior Design

Luxury is synonymous with Hotel Fasano’s South American retreats. Fasano Hotels has three locations in Brazil. Each hotel, while unique in design, exudes panache from the inside out. Located in the small municipal city of Porto Feliz, 100km outside of São Paulo, sits the Hotel Fasano Boa Vista.

Comfort is a primary feature in hospitality, but equally important is the ability for the structure to be a departure from everyday residential living. Creating a unique atmosphere for guests, renowned architect Isay Weinfeld, designed a hotel that is rustic yet refined.

Natural materials, such as stone and timber, have inherent warmth that is essential when constructing hotels. The Boa Vista Hotel features incredible woodwork constructed using Freijo or Jenny wood, a durable timber from the Amazon Rainforest . The building’s interior and exterior utilize both indigenous timber and stone.

Overlooking the lakefront property, the hotel takes full advantage of the area’s green landscape with large balconies and open decks. Additionally, taking luxury to the next level with amenities for their “outdoor enthusiasts” that include access to over 100 acres of preserved forest. The simplistic geometry of the structure’s façade, coupled with the minimalistic interior design, gives the hotel a very clean, breathable appearance.
