We Are ALPOLIC: Get To Know Omer Ozbek
Recently promoted, Omer Ozbek sees his new role as Senior Sales Manager for ALPOLIC’s East Region as more than just a geographic expansion of his territory. Instead, he believes it’s an opportunity to build upon a foundation of collaboration. While driving growth and strategic direction are at the top of his list, he also looks forward to learning more about the customers he is now charged with helping educate, inspire, and inform.
“Using sustainable architectural products like metal composite panels, an old building can have a second life and look new again.” He takes great pride in seeing projects refresh skylines across his territories. “Architecture can bring a smile to people’s faces,” he declares. Omer is a big fan of ALPOLIC materials and how they allow for complex designs that have, for more than 50 years, provided beautiful, durable, and safe architectural solutions.
Omer serves as a critical link between production and the customer, and believes his job is to do so with professionalism, integrity, and positivity. When coordinating complex processes, managing expectations, and solving problems, that work ethic goes a long way. “ALPOLIC has a reputation for quality materials, and my focus is on facilitating the needs of the customer.”
“For the architect, I meet with them to get to know the product, to learn how and where to use it with [AIA] lunch and learns,” Omer explains. He finds the point that most resonates with the design community is the near-limitless color palette and best-in-class finish warranty.
“When I tell them our finishes have up to 35-year warranties, that just adds magic to the conversation. When they hear ACM can look as good as new for 35 years, they can’t think of anything that comes with that longevity and the guarantee of our Repair and Replace warranty terms.”
“For the fabricator, I’m helping to navigate stock and production schedules,” says Omer. During the height of the pandemic, ALPOLIC’s extensive selection of in-stock metal composite materials helped customers meet deadlines during economic uncertainty.
“We are able to support big jobs, even when no one else has product on the shelf.”
With more than 20 years of selling building materials, Omer brings an incredible depth of experience to his role. Born in Ankara, Türkiye (formerly known as Turkey), Omer studied Chemistry and began his sales career with a tile manufacturer. Moving to the US, he also sold laminates before joining the ALPOLIC team in October 2017. In that time, he earned an executive MBA from Rollins College and became an American citizen.
Trilingual, he has been sharpening his Spanish skills to support Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and the seven states he directly oversees.
Omer is an avid traveler, and his worldly pursuits extend beyond his sales territory. A history and geography buff, he loves to cruise and recently returned from a stop in Ireland.
“I travel all the time,” says Omer. “I’ve been to the Arctic Circle, and I’ve seen the Aurora lights in Iceland. For me, it’s about meeting new people and learning something new every day.”
When not on the go, Omer is at his home in Orlando, Florida. He finds landscaping relaxing, is an accomplished cook, and shares his time with his friends and Carlos, his blue and gold macaw.
