Robotic Parking Design Revolutionizes Miami Living

June 19, 2012

Proposal/Project: Porsche Design Tower
Designers: Porsche Design Group
Location: Collins Avenue, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida
Completion: Groundbreaking 2012

Imagine driving your luxury vehicle through the streets of Miami Beach, Florida. As you reach your high-rise condominium, not wanting to park your $250,000 ride directly on the street, you drive straight into your building. Your car, with you inside, is lifted via a robotic arm into a glass elevator overlooking Miami’s skyline. Your desired floor is selected, and you are immediately transported in 45 to 90 seconds directly to your front door.

Although car-centric luxury condos are not a new concept, the Porsche Design Tower is the condominium of the future. The 57-story building, planned for Collins Avenue, is the realization of Porsche Design Group and local Miami developer, Gil Dezer. The $560 million design will be the first and last of its kind in Florida. In hopes of creating exclusivity, only a select few cities across the United States will be chosen for the project.
